This project reimagines packaging for the family-owned Mexican restaurant Joe T. Garcia’s.
The original packaging featured muted, illustrative elements that didn’t fully capture the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere.

The redesign shifts the focus to the brand’s tropical identity and most recognizable feature: It's garden. A bold primary color palette replaces the previous muted tones to create a stronger shelf presence and visual energy. Photography of the restaurant’s bird mascot was introduced in place of illustration to modernize the label and add authenticity.
Flavor identification was moved to the jar cap, transforming a standard brass lid into a functional branding opportunity and enhancing overall visual interest.
